All equipment and bait are included. The vessel Yukon is conveniently docked in the Skagway Harbor, which sits directly in front of the cruise ship docks. It is a short 5-minute walk from the Railroad docks, and if you are docked on either of the other docks, we will meet you and transport you to your charter. The fishing grounds near Skagway are just outside of the harbor. Generally, your line is wet within 15 minutes of leaving the dock. The Yukon is a comfortable, 36-foot Uniflight working charter vessel offering plenty of room to reel in your prize catch, powered by 2 Chevy 454 engines. There is an inside cabin for your comfort if the weather is less than perfect.
Most importantly, we have full restroom facilities on board. King salmon can run deep, and it is not uncommon to troll as deep as 130 feet. The Yukon is equipped with electric downriggers to get your line down to whatever depth the salmon are running. Get ready to fight your prize catch to the boat when it hits & disengages from the downrigger!
You have the option of catch & release or having your catch processed and shipped home. Captain Bernie can clean your catch and arrange the processing for you. Enjoy your fresh wild salmon at home as you recall your amazing Alaska adventure.
